Setting and saving the FTP Account settings will make it easier when you want to install Apps, Themes, and Language Packs in V4.2 and up. This is optional and you can choose to enter in the info each time if you prefer.

  • Click Settings and select FTP Account.

  • Choose the File Upload Method you want. FTP, SSH, or File System. If choosing File System, provided your server folder permissions allow it, this will install the apps/themes/language packs using the normal apps install method to extract to the folders (unzip is needed on the server).

We have noticed that many have server conflicts with the methods other than File System. If you cannot install apps/themes/languages, please be sure to choose the File System method.

  • If you chose FTP or SSH, you'll need to enter in all of the details for those log in credentials. If you don't have the info, your host can assist you in retrieving it.
  • Once you've selected your File upload method, and it autosaves, you will then see that when you go to install an app/theme/language pack, that the method is already saved. This will save you time in having to keep entering in the details each time you want to install things.
