If you have a website and it’s getting a lot of members every day for its extraordinary content, you might be wondering – hmm, how about I turn member into customers? Well, the answer is simple “subscription”. In this article, we will discuss how to set up a subscription package for your phpFox website. Follow the step by step guide and you will be done within a short period of time.

For creating your subscription packages, you have to navigate through Admin Cp → Members→ Subscriptions → New package.



Here we go to the subscription package create page, now you have to get something filled when a subscription package is being created. Every option in this page are respectively described below.

  • Title : give your subscription p a tittle name

  • Short Description: add some text about your subscription plan

 

 Now, by scrolling down we move to the next steps to link subscription plan to a specific user group

  • User Group on Success: Once a user successfully purchased the package they will be moved to this user group.
  • User Group on Failure: Once a user cancels or fails to pay their subscription they will be moved to this user group.
  • Add to Registration: You can make your users subscribe when they want to register by turning this setting to yes.
  • Visible for User Groups: decide the availability of the subscription package for a specific user group



Example

You can find the screenshot above as an example of User group on Success and User group on Failure which respectively are VIP members and Registered Users. This means users will be moved to VIP members group as soon as they subscribe to the subscription, on the other hand, if they cancel or fail to subscribe they will be automatically moved to Registered users group.

The next section you'll be going through is the Subscription Costs 

 

  • Price:  Here you can set or define how much money you are going to charge your subcribers. Also, you can check Free Package if you want it to be free
  • Recurring:  Recurring means if you want your subscribers to keep purchasing your subscription pack. You can specify the billing cycle to monthly, quarterly, biannually, and annually.
  • Number of days to notify user: you can set how long is the expiration of the subscription and get user notified about the recurring
