In this article, we will show you how to add audio files and create playlists .
Adding audio track
Adding a single audio file or music track is very easy. Simply click on the Music module from user front-end → click on the green button.
Next, a media uploader page will appear on your screen. You need to click on the upload file button to select and upload your audio file.
You can pick music genre for songs and set privacy to control who can see your songs. Note that multiples genre can be choosen and multiple files can be uploaded at one go. As of now, phpFox default supports Mp3 file.
Once you are done, click Finish. Now you have just finished uploading audio file to Music app.
Adding Audio Playlist
Just like image album, you can also create a playlist to make your audio content more interesting. Simply click on Music app → My playlist → click on the plus button.
Here we go to the playlist info section:
- Name: give your playlist a titile name and
- Short Description: add some text about your playlist
- Photo: drag and drop a photo as cover photo for your playlist
- Privacy: Control who can see this playlist and any songs connected to it.
Hit submit for the playlist to be created. Okay, now we got a playlist, next thing we need to do is adding audio files you want to include in the playlist. After uploading your audio files, all of your uploaded files should be in Music→ My songs section.
Pick a song and click on the tiny plus icon on it, here will come a pop up that allow you to tick on the playlist you want to add this song to. Also, you can make use the Add to new playlist option here as a quick way to create a new playlist, just need to fill in a title then hit create.
There you go, now your playlist is ready to go. Enjoy your music.
