In this guide, we’ll share step by step instruction on How to create categories and Sub-categories for Blog module.
First thing you need to do is log in to your Admin CP area. Next, go to the App> Installed> Blogs> Manage Categories and click on New Categories button
On the next screen, you will see a pop up that allows you to create catefories. Fill in the categories name, then press Submit. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will make a new category named Music.
Now the new category is ready, now let’s make a sub-category of the Music one named Pop music. Go back to the Manage Categories page and click on New Categories button, but this time in Parent category field, select the Music as a parent for the new category and fill in the sub-category name. Then, hit submit one more to save the sub- category.
Now let’s go to the Front end of your phpFox site> Blogs, you will see the new category and its sub-category that you just created.
You can do the same steps above to create multiple sub-categories for a Parent category. We created 3 more sub-categories of the Music as shown below:
To Edit name or Delete a category, from the Manage Categories page, click on gear icon, here you have options to Edit and Delete. Each category comes with numbers of its Sub-categories shown on the next right collum, you can also edit Sub-categories by clicking on the number.
